Overkill?

Go for a lower spring like a M100, metal bushings, maybe a spring guide. That's all you need, and is FAR cheaper.

I think he should upgrade his piston to if hes gonna get the magnum cause i think his stock will get ripped into pieces from the upgraded ROF

but piston/metalbushins/spring guide/M100 should be fine for most occasions

He should STAY AWAY from the magnum as you can get. You would need a bigger battery anyway. If you think you are going to go through pistons use stock or you will replace your mechbox. Stick with your M100 or M110 an EG1000 will give you plenty of firepower and even then your are jeopardizing your gun. Keep the mechbox simple! If you are trying to get a little boost on ROF try wiring some LARGE capacitors between your battery and motor. this will buffer your power supply and give your motor a more consistent power and raise your ROF. And keep in mind that reinforced V2 mechboxes are like standard mechboxes, except that it takes a 3000-5000 rounds longer to break (yes, they DO in fact break the same as stock ones) with a heavy spring, even one that puts out 350fps.
