Need help identifing Systema Gears
Heya, I just got a gearbox and was wondering if anyone can figure out what type of systema gears they are. I tried to run them in my M4 EG1000 9.6V 1100mah gun but i cant even get it to turn or move I have no idea why.
Any help would be nice Thanks again Edit: I got it to work but it seems to just pull the piston all the way to the back then stop. Also it doesnt seem like the stock CA gears because of the bezel gear is completely different from the www.wgcshop.com ones SHIMMING was my problem thanks everyone again I forgot to put the gears on the other side of the gearbox and check the spacing, it was horrible So now it works Last edited by Nova316; January 12th, 2007 at 19:29.. |

It wont even turn you said. Shimming. That looks like a standard ratio gears.

What spring do you have?
Because mini packs are good with stock parts.... |

Stock TM spring
K now that its shimmed right all it does is wind up all the way to the back then stop |

that doesn't look like Systema gears.
more like old standard ratio CA gears or so. |

Those are definitely not Systema gears, nor are they TM gears, Phoenix or Prometheus.
I'm not familiar with Guarder, G&P or CA gears, so I can't say for sure what they are. If they're not turning over, I'd also go with Nova316's assumption that you have a poor shimming job.

Not Guarder nor G&P.
G&G have their logo stamped too. Anymore info about this gun / gears? I am lazy to count every teeth so have you tried cycling the gearset with out the spring, piston, cylinder? Unless they are not the same set of gears ie one of them is from some other company which happen to fit in there, or one of the gear is off centered (like the new guarder FTK) you should be able to cycle them with your finger before you put the spring in. edit: Didn't see the you had it compressed part. Again try to manually cycle it with out a spring inside the mechbox. Also a very remote chance(happened on a hard spring) the end of the spring coil expanded outward around the spring guide when it's compressed. (this happened on a ball bearing springguide and a MS135? spring) Do you notice any dammage or nicks around the end of the piston?

K so everything seems to be working the teeth are the same count as a TM stock gears, so thats a good sign
I got it shimmed i believe correctly, cause i got it to cycle once, then it wouldnt cycle again trying to figure that out at the moment I would bring it to johnny but i want to try to figure this problem out myself first since it is my spare outdoor gearbox so i wont be using much besides my stock TM one does perfectly till i can get this one up and running They look like CA torque up gears? according to wgcshop.com They also cycle perfectly with my fingers, im guessing im still off with the shim job |

Classic Army has a 'C.A.' on the flat side of their gears, so unless you didn't take a look at the other side, it won't be Classic Army either.
Keep looking... |
