AK 9.6v stick battery mod??

Has anyone done this? Basicly making the battery fit into part of the upper receiver/handguard and having the plug for it be near the rear of the gun.

i've seen few vids with people that have this done but i cant really see how they did it.

seen here: YouTube - CYMA 028S AK47S METAL MOD PART 2 BATTERY MOD

Umm ya, Thats Im sure how most AK74 or Spetz AK's hold their battery. I used a 74 for a game before and thats where it was held up under that reciever plate.

yeah but you can only fit an 8.4 stock, need to do some hardcore drilling to get a 9.6, or even 10.8 to fit nicely

Yeah i've done quite a bit of cutting but i still cant seem to get it to fit inside there.

The only way i can see its possible is to ruin the whole bolt assembly, and i sure dont wanna do that.

In the front assembly there is a metal bar. If you take that bar out I am pretty sure that there will be more room to put a battery.
