SIR Mailorder Selling Crapsoft AK-47's

The clearsoft problem has been ubiquitous but I haven't seen full "color" airsoft rifles in, how do you say, legitimate businesses. SIR has advertised cheap AEG's in their newest flyer that resemble Marui AK-47s with full "color" (not clearsoft) but within the $230.00 range. I don't know what brand they are, but they come with a free sling for hanging yourself in your juvie jail cell after you and your 13 year old clearsoft friends knock off a lemonade stand and goggles that can resist police bullets so long as they don't hit them directly. I don't know how they got them into the country.

These guns are conspicuously absent on their website.

sounds like chinese marui knockoffs to me and thats really not good... selling those to the general public and advertising them only encourages kids to buy them cause then they can be like in CS and be uber 1337.

as for how they managed to get them into the country im sure there are alot of people who would like to know.

edit: i would assume since he said flyer that he meant in an actual print advert like in a newspaper or magazine.

That's why I'm wondering what magazine or newspaper would allow advertisements of AK47 replicas.

Yes its in there paper specials flier that they send out once in a while to those who have bought from them. But he's also right, its not listed in their online catalog, or in their 2006-2007 catalog.

They do not sell brand name airsoft (ie. Marui, etc.) It was brought up on the MAA boards and discussed, the bottom line is they're a business and they're not going to follow our rules unless they have to because they're making money off of the clearsoft and other airsoft-like products they sell. We are educating some of the staff at SIR (who are now airsoft players in Manitoba) and they are enforcing the 18+ rule whenever they can.

SIR is a large mailorder store in manitoba that caters to the hunting community. I think they have at least one retail store in Winnipeg. As to the generalpatronnage of the store I cannot say but I know a number of hunters who buy stuff from them.

The AK47 in thier flyer is a FirePower AK47. I was told that was the manufacturer when I phoned them to ask about it.

I don't know if it's a firepower... they say that the internals are metal... but on the firepower they aren't. Is this an improvement?
