mp5 red dot

One of the main problems with the MP5 RAS is the red dot

http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/revie...ras_review.htm

The site is too low-therefore the aim on the gun-gets infront of the site what do I get to make the scope higher so It comes above the gun's aim?

Yo udon't even noticed the front sight being in the way. On my MP5s, I use a basic cheap Tasco Red Dot sight, and while looking through the scope you can see the front sight and ring, when you are actually aiming you focus on the red dot itself. Back up feature of having an RDS low (depending on model) is that you can still use your iron sights if needed. Often times when I look through my scope and line the sights up, the red dot (as I set it for point of impact) sits on the tip of the front sight post.

In other words, don't worry about it, it has more benefits than bad points.

I was worried about the front site being inside the screen on my red dot sight too. But like Stalker said, there are more good points than bad, one of these being you can still use the irons. You get used to it.

okay thanks for all the help, but wouldn't it be better to have it over the fixed sites so I can use red dot, or look under it and used the ones on the gun?

Preference to what you want really. Ive had a claw mount on my Mp5 and it allows me to look under my RDS to use the iron sights and I dont like it at all I wish it was mounted lower so I could use the iron sights if the RDS failed. Just my preference but w/e we all have those just like the guns we pick.

Like I said, depending on the RDS you use, you can look through the sight and use the irons sights as well as the RDS dot.

I have the high clawmount for my MP5 and it clears the iron sites and have a "tunnel" so you can still use the iros sites.
The only thing that sux is its really easy to nock off so i straped it down with an electrical tie.

You can get a raiser unit that attaches to the rail and provides another rail about an inch higher. It has a hole in the middle so you can still use your iron sights.

Here's a picture of one attached to a detached MP5 rail, I've seen them on a couple of sites (This one's on Airsplat, but comes with the mp5 rail, you should be able to find one cheaper on its own):
