Gas Cylinder Conversion for AEG

Let me introduce one of project I am working on right now.It is gas cylinder for AEG.I name it as "Monster Gas Cylinder for AEG(MGC4AEG)"

FPS is fully adjustable from 300-600FPS by rig(regulator) and you can use CO2,HPA as power source.

I appreciate it if I can have comment from user here in airsoft canada.

Here is URL of my blog for more detail and update.

Look really cool. Tho if it did come over here or anywhere, I could see people jumping up the FPS part way during a skirmish then dropping it back down after someone complains.

It's all nice and fine, but until we see it in action, nobody will ever be interested

We've had claims by people who are "developing" a new type of gun that will revolutionize airsfot. Nothing ever came of it.

Put your product out to be reviewed. Then see what happens.

Definitely very cool, and a good read as well. It's nice to see someone actually putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to a "new and revolutionary" product.

I look forward to this product if you do eventually release.

The bog was interesting, but the pic isn'r displaying. I really like this idea, but in terms of marketability here in canad, the ability to adjust the fps above 500 could pose a prolem. I still want to see the finnished product, if not purchase it.

It may fire over 800FPS, but can you say how many joules of energy the bb's have from that gun? That there will determine if it is a firearm or not.

Sun Project & Madbull have made these, EDIT: the more the merrier.

Could you see that thing being legal in Ontario/ is it legal?

Im actualy surpirsed that companies haven't taken to designing and mass producing CO2 A.G. they got paintball markers down pat, whats so hard about BB's/ so expensive?

Id take a nice CO2 A.G that fires within an acceptable range over an AEG.

For gaming purposes I cannot see it being used unless the Co2 flow is restricted to a sensible fps level.

I cannot say wether it is legal or not, as I cannot confirm how much energy the bb's have when they leave the muzzle.

Taken from the Airsoft & Canadian Law thread.
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...ighlight=joule

Q: What makes a firearm under Canadian law?

A: To be classified as a firearm under Canadian law, specifically the Firearms Act, an airgun must fire in excess of 500 feet per second (152.4 metres per second) AND have a muzzle energy in excess of 5.7 joules.

If it is under that, then by all means it is legal in Canada, as far as I know.

Thank you for all of comment.

I do understand some says "I can't say nothing untill I see it is working, pics is not enough".I admit this is still development stage, but I can say motor drive and valve testing has been finished.I expect to do firing test in 2 weeks.I wish I can show you how it works by video but I do not have one now.I am going to buy video camera and capture board so that I can show you video.

Actually I was not aware there is retailer in US already sell it.One of merit is,I am sure I can supply it as both kit and completed gun for much cheaper price. To canada market,I am thinking to put release valve which let gas out when too much pressure input to system. With this valve attached,it never exceed to limit J at Canada.

I think it will be a few months away I will be able to supply this units by mass production(but has plan to run limited production before that).

If you could tell me which model of AEG you want to put,I will put it on my consideration on planning.

The most popular AEG's seem to be M4/G3/AK/MP5 series

This can be mounted on Version2 and 3 mechbox(I need to try with other mechbox.I think latest version for Type 89 seems okay, but need to try and see).It mean M16.MP5,AK47,G3,Steyer AUC,G36C series. But you better choose one with fixed stock to let hose come out smartly.

For this prototype one,I am going to mount it to G&P SR25 kit.

update

Here is update for V3 mechbox.I need a few days to finish it but you can consider it is almost done.
Technically MGC can be mountable to other gear box such as version 6 and 8.As far as you can secure
hose rout,you can install MGC.

For more update, check out my blog.

So, I take it that the motor still turns the gear train as usual, but intead of pulling back and releasing a piston like in a standard AEG mechbox, the sector gear triggers a valve to dump pressurized gas to drive the bb?

Seems like a workable premise. Sector gear could still do the job of loading bb's as usual.

When you get it in a working gun, take some video and post it up.

Your battery should last a long time if it's not driving a piston and spring load!!!
