CYMA MP5-J Not firing

I recently got a CM027J MP5 and It shot great when I got it a few days ago I went to shoot a few rounds today and I got about 30 or so rounds out of it and it made this horrible screeching noise whenever I pulled the trigger.

I'm new to airsoft I don't know what's wrond or even how to take it apart to see if anythings wrong. I'm thinking the gear box is locked up or something does anyone have a solution to my problem?

Don't keep pulling the trigger, you probably stripped something.

Take it to a gun doctor to get your gearbox checked out.

There is a pretty good chance that if the gun has plastic internals (non TM ripoffs) that the gun's gears have stripped. Until you can get it to a medic i would not take a chance at firing it. If there isnt something serious wrong with it now, repeated firing could completely screw up the works. BTW if the gun is one of the Tokyo Marui Clones and you have an issue, it shouldnt be too much to repair. If you wanna try to break it open yourself, you're also well within your rights. Remember that learning how to field strip an AEG is all a part of airsoft. Keep in mind all it takes are a few Tools and come handiness and you could be good to go in a matter of minutes

They have metal gears said to be better than TM. About Star quality.

They are the normal v2 Marui ripoff gearbox.

Bring it to a gun doctor or try yourself, which I highly recomend. The MP5 is an ass to takedown, but just unscrew everything until you get the mechbox out, then use this guide.

Good luck!

EDIT!

Follow this guide to take apart your gun! (yes, I know, its UTG, but same design)

Bad idea than IMO. If its under warranty, you can take it back, and they will replace the damaged gears (if any) for free, but once you open it, warranty's gone, youre on your own. Take advantage of it while its there.

Cheers,
Alex

your motor setting could be set to low. try adjusting it upwards using that little wrench your gun came with.
the motor pinion gear might not have meshed porperly.

just take off the motor plate, take off the wire connectors (red/black) to the motor take it out to see if i'ts been stripped, just re-insert it again and put the motor plate back on, tighten screws, if you still have that issue try using the tiny hex wrench included to adjust the motor. But I took my motor plate off first when I had that issue, I own two cyma mp5-js btw.

in between the two screws @ the bottom you'll see a VERY tiny hole stick the little wrench in there. Dude the manual you got with the gun should explain that.

Thanks I'll have to try that out tomorrow since it's late here and my family is sleeping. I read the manual when I got it but I must of over looked that part.
