mag advice
ok I don't know if this was listed here on the forums
so how durable are mags? will they crack or snap in half if I wear a chest carrier and go prone? I have a wee little Mp5k so will the mags hold up if I got a a modular vest and kept them in front of me?

Depend.
If you only you prone, no problem. If you fall on them, then, it may be a little bit risky to get them broke. Who made it is also a factor, Star mags are plastic, and are likely easier to break, but they are from higher value. Ten for the price of two? Yeah, they can break, but hell you have still nine of them. |

If you buy plastic mags and bellyflop on a pile of bricks, you will break some, maybe. Short of that, you're fine.
I have never broken any of the 140+ mags of mine ever. Nor have I ever broken a gun externally, but I have had them fail on me before.

the stock mp5 mags? as in TM locaps or highcaps? They will hold up to alot of abuse, they have a metal shell, and i have had an mp5, had the mags in a chest rig, dropped down on them a few times, they worked fine. Nothing wrong with having them in front of you, they will last.
