vsr 10 real stock V pro
hello all.
i did a search but could not find any relevant information. ive been offered a second hand TM vsr 10 real stock. which the guy tells me is upgraded to 450 fps, but he has no idea what has been upgraded. it could have every thing upgraded, or it could just have a bigger spring. any ways i seem to remember reading a long time ago that the internals in the real stock version are different to the internals in the pro version. is this true, and if so can the real stock version still be upgraded in the same way as the pro version. i dont want to buy the gun if i cant upgrade it to 500+ fps, like you can the pro version. Cheers |

Wouldn't 450fps be way over the muzzle energy limit for airsoft in the UK?
If what I'm reading on Arnies is correct, they'd classify that as a firearm, and no field in the UK would let you use it. |

The only real difference in internals is the realshock has weights attached to the piston where the other one does not. At 450fps it should have a new spring, either new sears or a zero trigger, and a bearing spring guide. if he takes a picture of the internals i can tell you what is in it. However as someone stated that is above the limit in the uk.

cheers for your quick replys guys.
regarding uk limits, as far as im aware single action rifles (eg snipers) can shoot up to 500fps but not over. AEG can shoot up to 350fps. so the only difference is the piston is weighted. and i would have no trouble fitting upgraded parts? as i want to get it shooting at 500 fps i would want to replace the stock piston with a re-enforced one any way. as well as the sears, cylinder head, spring, spring guide, spring guide stopper, and possibley a 6.03 barrel. also any thing else that i might have missed, if i have please tell me. will i have any problems fitting these parts to the real stock form. the way im seeing it is no i will not, but please can some one put my mind at rest befor i consider buying this gun many thanks |

The real shock has no muzzle break on the piston in addition to the shock weights. 450fps can be had on the cheap with a VSR by just adding a 130 spring. It's not the most reliable without at least upgrading the sears but it can be done. Of course verifying what kind of sears you have if you don't have a zero trigger is next to impossible. As someone suggested a picture would help us verify those parts that can be verified visually.

Daiki Sears will be close to the same colour as stock sears. The Laylax ones are black. A zero trigger clearly states "ZERO TRIGGER" on the trigger box.
