2 Pistol Choices, Need Your Input.
I've got a bit of cash left over from tax returns (horrah) and I'm looking at 2 sidearms that I just can't make up my mind over. I need to chose one.
Here they are: The KJW MK1 Full Size Gas Sniper Pistol. Link to MK1 Sniper OR The KWA Full Metal USP Compact P8 Style Gas Blowback Pistol. Link to USP Compact Any input/feedback would be very much appreciated. |

My choice would be the Full Metal USP, because, well, it's a full metal USP. And it's a compact you say? Even better. Get ready for some expensive mags though.
You're going to run propane, not green gas, right?

I'd go with USP since its full metal, plus those "old-school" guns aren't really my liking.
But whichever one you buy, I hope its not from Evike.com because they are in USA. |

Get age-verified and order from Canada. Green Gas = Propane. Available everywhere.
If you get your age checked, you will access the buy/sell parts of the forums. ANd if you meet local players you'll know where to shop and other things. |

Well,
green gas = (((propane - smell) + silicon oil) x 5y)) 'y' being the constant that you pay for one canister of propane................. if I remember high school math properly. In some cases using green gas is worse than using propane, the KJW M700 sniper rifle for instance, because each shot puts out a fine mist of oil that gets on the hop up and causes really crappy accuracy/consistancy from shot to shot. Besides, for the price yo upay for what you get, it's a total waste of money to use green gas. |

USP would be my vote. It is, by it's very nature, a compact weapon which can make a difference in those crucial seconds of drawing it from the holster. It also looks hell 'a sexy, which is never a bad thing. That and most owners of that particular gun seem to give it decent reviews.

Any full-size airsoft replica will get seized at the border.
Go read the FAQ's.

I double checked with 2 parties and the guns shipped across the boarder (all three at different times) were all gas blowbacks from evike.

But seriously read up on the FAQs. Plus it says right on the pages you linked whether the guns you asked about were GBB or NBB. Take some time and read. |

I've had a TM-M4, 2 G-SPECS, MP5-K, and a GBB confiscated by Canada Customs (that's roughly a thousand clams!!!)... trust me... you don't want to deal with them. It's a huuuuge hassle, and monetary loss. I eventually got them through, but that took almost a year of fighting them. Do your research first... Sure you might end up paying 50 or 100 bucks less, but think of the extra money spent buying a gun in Canada as peace of mind... |
