MODS, please delete. This business has proven itself to be shady. Purpose of thread is pretty much over.
Thanks.

The site has some inconsistancies. It mentions Marui in the opening and finishes calling it a TOP. Probably is the TOP one, but maybe not.

I think it's probably too good to be true or a royal mistake, but it would be interesting if it was correct.

I'm really gonna trust a business with the word "pyramid" in there name....

Anyways it's got to be the TOP AEG. Marui doesn't make an MP40, and if they did make one i'm pretty sure we wouldn't be hearing about it from these guys.

here's an excerpt from the description of the item you linked to:

"Most of the internal hardware is constructed from metal, including the nozzle and cylinder - which is a departure from the plastic bellows-type cylinders found on other TOP AEG's. The gun is powered by a 9.6v AUG-style battery stored in the receiver just above the trigger.
Very authentic look and feel. If you're looking for an authentic WW-II classic then the TOP Maschinenpistole 40 Schmeisser is just about as perfect a replica as you can own."

is my mind the only one that's blowing from the hipocrisy of greylocks, of all people, not reading a description of an item, then posting about it on asc? :P

"the MP40 is made entirely from stamped sheet metal just like the real version."

There lieing about the hole thing. they have not made all metal airsoft guns in japan sence the 80's. It's one big lie. if you won't real info I go to web sites that have pic's from the last show/show's TM was at. That's how you see what goodys are comeing out in Japan.

I did some research on this topic last year, and:

The MP40 is often reffered to as a 'Schmeiser' even though it was manufactured by Volmer.
There you have it. I have heard this from many sources and this site plainly can't get the facts straight.

But still, a sweet looking gun. Looks full metal to me.

Sorry it's not metal. TM has yet to make a full metal gun because Japanese laws prohibit the manufacturing and owning of full metal airsoft guns. It's a TOP model, which is also not metal because TOP is in Japan.

Ya, just what I said. You guys know why they do not have full metal airsoft guns in japan.

Well,
It the late 70's and early 80's there were lot's of shell ejecting airsoft gun's that had a full metal bolt and every thing. Well, some one found out that some of the shell ejecting airsoft guns could take .22 caliber bullet's. and shoot. Well, as you can guess you don't won't a bunch of kid's in Tokyo with full automatic .22's in the street. So japan made full metal airsoft gun's against the law. Now, what ever metal exterior metal part on airsoft gun's in Japan have to met a few standards. Alot haveing to do with your metal to plastic ration.

Manchovie, I sure wont cover the fact that I did not read that site very well. So enjoy your little victory. I did point out it seemed too good to be true, not posted it as the truth.

Mods? As this is now clearly a false advertisement from a site that is shady, please send this thread where it belongs best?
