Mac 11 gone crazy?
Ok, so I went to Wal-mart and pick up some .12g bb's. I am fully aware that they suck however, they were cheap, and I just wanted something to plink in my basement with. I didn't want to waste my other bb's, which I use for outside play. Any who, on to the problem. After loading my Mac 11 with these bb's. I went to take a shot, and instead of the bb being propelled out of the barrel it came out through the side of the gun. So, I thought to myself "hmm, that's annoying. I hope that doesn't happen again." Unfortunately I was wrong it continued to occur for the whole mag. With the bolt open I looked at the bb's in the magazine, and they seemed to be in the proper position. I have no clue why this is happening; this is why I have come here. Also I have a Tm Hicapa, and have tried these bb's with that gun, and they have worked fine. :???:

I suggest you do not use .12s as they are so cheap that they are often not manufactured properly and may have cosmetic flaws that may foul your barrel.

Check with other BBs. Methinks you just crapped you hop-up rubber.

I have other bb's. I just thought I would buy these and just use them in my basement. My Mac works fine with my other bb's I just thought it was weird that it wouldn't work with the .12g. Also since they don't work is there anything i can use them in, or did i waste 20 bucks?

i had the same problem with my Mac awhile ago, but only 1 or 2 bb's from a full mag would fly out the side.
take it apart and oil it up, but watch your seals, if you put to much oil on the seals they can swell up and crack. anyways that seemed t work for me, also you may want to check your hop-up like surebet said

Sounds like the bb's are slightly off size (smaller) then they should be. As a result the loading lips of the mag are not holding them perfectly and when the bolt rocks back you eject a bb out the side instead. Best suggest is don't use the cheapy bb's, the M11 is a tempermental gun and you don't want to risk damage.

Are they green? If so, they are quite high in fibre.

yea .12's are ok in a closed bolt operation gun not reccommended but they work, but in a mac-11 they plain suck lol, they tend to not be held in properly, as for fixes move to .20's or better lol,
