CA M249 Para – Battery Installation
Ok here is what I got
I recently picked up a CA M249 Para and having issues reassembling the gun after installing the battery – seem stupid? Ya – it gets worse… - Install the battery – sits nice - Put the inner barrel and hop-up back in (they came out together) - Slip on the outer barrel and seat it nice - Flip the leaver and attempt to slide the inner barrel in… ***** That’s where the problem is******* It seems like the inner barrel is catching on something inside the outer barrel and preventing it from going in the remaining 1 to 2” The retalier who sold me the gun says to push harder - but before I break anything - I think its just best to ask others. I’ve heard from a couple of people that know others with CA M249s that this is tricky – at least for the first few times. Can any CA M249 owners share any tips / secrets? Thanks lads! |

Unthread the flashhider then try. sometimes they get caught up in there. Also check to make sure the gas regulator knob at the front is going into the hole straight, they have the tendancy to not do this.

Well lets just say - good thing I didnt push it harder... in the flashhinder the silver collar was twisted preventing the inner barrel from going through....
Thanks for your help. All fixed up! |

Hehe, what did I say this morning, Apoc or ExRoyal! Good thing Apoc decided to post, your barrel problem is solved. The battery one though........... guess I'll have to do the mod before I can offer suggestions on wiring the two batteries up to the switch and where.
