What is my battery size??

I'm totally sorry for not knowing where this goes, but I recently bought a TM AK47 from a friend who brought it up from the states.

The battery has FINALLY died, and he didn't know what size it was, it just came with it. There's no indication on this thing either.

it's 6 bodys with one perpendicular to them at the end of it. It's not the same adapter as my M4 nunchuck battery, and it's a female plug.

Anything I should do? I have a universal charger, I just have to buy a fitting plug at the hobby shop. I want to sell this gun to another person but I gotta figure out the battery size.

Large, 8.4V. Can't tell you the specific capacity because the cells are covered in heat-shrink stuff.

No. Don't. Buy a charger, and charge the thing. That's the way they're designed....

Charging it won't tell him the capacity. Even a good charger that will read out how much juice it's put into the battery won't necessarily be accurate.

The battery died and you want to know what size it was so the guy buying the gun knows what battery to buy? The battery doesn't have to have the same mAh value. If the battery goes into the stock, any 8.4V large battery pack made of sub C cells should do. In fact he can buy my 8.4V 1800mAh battery I'm selling :-D $50 shipped :-D

the guy who is buying the gun bought the battery, to my understanding, and would rather use the perfectly good battery he purchased for his new gun...

ah looks just like my battery, but with that blue tape shiznit over it. I'd say its MOST LIKELY an 8.4V Nickel Cadium (Ni-Cd) with probably 4200 mAH. But doesnt matter what mAH it is just make sure she's 8.4 V and you should be good to go.

4200mAh? Are you on crack? NiCad sub-C cells only go up to 2400mAh. Hate to break it to you, but most large batteries look rather similar.

I'm not a battery expert in the LEAST, but I bought an 8.4NI-MH 3000mAh battery and it does not fit in my MP5. So I would assume that the higher the mAh, the tighter the fit. If that is correct, and the battery is not "larger" because it is NI-MH (cant see why it would be) then it would be logical to assume that if the battery fits easily in the gun, then it is likely a standard 1700-1800mAh size. My 1700 Ni-Cd fits easily in my MP5.
So, my uneducated guess would be that battery you have has a 1700mAh capacity.

what kind of mp5 is it? you may be using a mini, and in that case your battery is much smaller then the one in question. as far as I know, th eonly thing that effects cell size is the volts...
