CA36 or CA36K
Hi everybody,
could you please help with selection between these two guns CA36 and CA36K? If there is any different in performance (15 cm in barrel length). I dont know if barrel length involves final fps, if it is possible to reach the same performance for example in 50 meters with both guns or if it differs (how much)... I have to note, that I will upgrade it to M120, NBU set, accurate barrel. Thank you for your answer/opinion especialy for your help. Mira Czech Republic |

The longer barrel will result in slightly greater accuracy & range, thats about it.
But as a stock gun, you wont really notice much difference in performance/ect until you start swapping parts. |

classic army would be a good brand to steer clear of,other than price i see no point in spending the money on ca weapons if/when it fails hard to find parts for,and not many people will work on ca stuff.go ahead and spend your money on this sport we all love,,,,just do it right and only spend it once..do yourself a favor and save your money for now.

longer barrel = better range 30-50 more fps (at best) as BC_k already said. k has the rds already integrated into the carry handle which is nice, but a little bulky for cqb use, the other is a versatile platform to build on, nice and compact, its up to you both are great guns (actually the same gun but different clothes on) where are you going to be playing most indoors or out? how much customizing to plan on doing (externally). |

I'll give him this at least he read....something. And that something would be the now horribly inncorrect and stupid "CA bashing thread" which should be removed. Your biggest mistake is NOT buying the CA model if they make it. TM is what will waste all your money, not CA. The advice given to new people is not so much help when all it is "buy TM" (all though it's that persons fault for not researching) as it is TM fanboyism in which that all they've known and havn't actually tried CA and found out what they have been missing. Anyway, I found that a rifle sized gun feels wierd with a folding stock. Also, the longer front end may get a harsher beating if you run around alot. A more compact carry and a quicker draw ability may be a good reason to go K or moreso, C, even though you didn't mention it. |

I own the CA G36 C it works well in all circumstances go with the CA besides most parts are compatible with the TM parts and if you do break it just order new parts, big deal. The G36 K would be nice to own two its right in between and the best of both worlds.

Ahha, very informative thread here. I'm thinking about a K for myself, but my only concern was the inconsistent grease application from the factury. Have they solved this problem?

Not every one is capable of "just opening the mechbox" I picked my self up a CA249 and while its a different box and all it looks pretty bombproof. The "TM fanboyisms" come from the fact that TM has a far better quality control than any of the other companies out there. Look at the early CA Mp5's.... Run and hide! from that I can see and heard CA has come along way and I personaly wouldnt hesitate buying a G36 in fact im considering it for my next loadout.
