FAMAS metal frame
A while ago I was told that two companes used to make metal bodies for the FAMAS. I've been searching high and low for evidence that these even existed and couldn't find any. Perhapse some of the airsoft veterans here can shead a little light on this matter. If anyone knows where to actually buy one of these, I'd also be most interested.
Thanks in advance.

If there were aftermarket bodies for Famas's I would likely buy another one. Better yet some one do/redo a good famas and I would be all over that bad boy!

Here's the original PM sent to me by 163154, a Snow Dragon:
(I was inquiring a quote for a custom metal famas body since I hear he did custom metal parts for airsoft) "Not to blow you off but the cost would be huge but I can get a quote together and If your looking to switch over the plastic parts for metal you might try looking on the classic airsoft pages in the US top(airsoft) and anihsia Probly did not spell the last on right made metal bodies for the Famas f1 and sv have a look and contact Darrel zero there he might have Sean" Does "top(airsoft)" and "anihsia" ring any bells? Google doesn't know anything btw...

I think he's talking about the 2 Japanese manufacturers "TOP" and "Asahi"....but I don't think Asahi EVER made metal FAMAS bodies.
He's right, though.....if you're looking for something old and rare, contact Darryl Zero on www.classicairsoft.net forums, then find a Canadian retailer to bring it into the country if DZ finds what you're looking for in Japan. DZ also lists stuff on Ebay under the username "raresoft".

sorry for you , bud. I love FAMAS too since the French Foreign Legion is a plan of career for me. It's a creaky weapon and a metal frame would have been awesome. Somebody will made one someday , thats for sure

Now, do you really think the bodies are coming? Short of making a few yourself, you're pretty much out of luck. |
