KSC G19 Slide - Does it just need time?
I got a KSC G19 recently, but I find at least with the plastic slide when you pull the slide back it is not smooth at all, it feels like it's going over at least 3 different points of resistance where I have to use more force to get it to go past that. And when it is in the locked back position it is wobbly as hell. I want to get a metal slide and barrel, would that fix it? Does it just need breaking in a bit? Any other suggestions for improving the solidness of the gun? I'd like to do all the upgrades necessary to give it as realistic a feel as possible.

Not sure about the 3 points of resistance, I don't recall having 3 distinct points on my KSC glock 19, but most gbb's are wobbly.. its just a part of the beast.

There's a couple points in the slide that offer a bit of resistance, and it's normal. Main one is the little bumb that sits to the left of the hammer, that allows the linkage between the hammer and the mag's release valve to retract. Otherwise you'll fire the gun and all the gas will release from your mag after your first shot.
I wouldn't worry about it, a bit of oil and such might smooth it, but avoid trying to file down things in there. Just get used to it. |
