armalite's

I will soon be able to purchase an airsoft gun and I really need some one that knows what they are talking about cause I keep reading threads and reviews that are both one sided and its making it really hard to decide or am I just paranoid. Any way i want a gun that is reliable and wont have the internals fail on me with good acc and not Super high maintenance, don’t really want to open up the gun much (I really had my heart set on the G&G GR16-R4-CARBINE but to certain opinions I don’t know if is right for me anymore).

The following are what i am considering please provide opinions

G&G GR16-R4-CARBINE
TM M4 S System
Classic Army M4A1 Carbine
G&P M4 Marine

You have to decide, Do you want metal or not? If you want metal the TM is not for you as it has a plastic body. Overall, TM is very reliable and is known to hold up. One thing i have noticed about the TM armalite series is that the plastic bodies tabs can break fairly easily. Its not a big deal if you dont fall/drop your gun. CA may be hard to get as most retailers dont or cant get them. I have heard a few problems with the G&G's assembly. They do not have real trademarks, but are full metal and come upgraded off the shelf. The G&P are around the same price as the G&P, they are also full metal and also come upgraded out of the box. I havent heard any problems with this company, I hear they are very solid. One thing to take into account is that you may not want to buy a gun that is already upgraded as you may want to see how guns shoot in stock form so you can decide if you need upgrades and to get a feel for airsoft and the guns themselves. If you can, make it out to a game and if your lucky someone there will have one of the guns your looking for. If you ask politely, I am sure they will let you hold it and maybe even shoot it. Even if the gun you are looking for is not there, you can see how the sport works first hand, and who knows maybe you will find another gun you like there. Make your first choice the best one, you dont want to start out your first day of airsoft with a gun that doesnt work properly. Hopefully someone that has one of these guns will give you some input.

Hope this helps.

Whatabout ICS armalites? I've heard some good reports concerning them locally.

Canadian Airsoft stocks them: http://www.canadianairsoft.ca/

Personally i have a G&G and im more then happy with it. Just make sure you get the 2005 version those are the ones that have their problems fixed more or less. Mine shoots 330fps with .20 out of the box. I have an R5

One thing that you will learn, is that all airsoft guns are flawed in some way or another. In may case, i have a systema metal body. THe body comes with two tabs. Do you need them? Absolutely not. In fact, i sawed off the remaining one i had. No way in hell the body will slide off or do something stupid.

If you want a G&G, go for it. Will it have problems? Possibly, you may even get a lemon. Then again, your gun could be flawless.

Simple solution. Get what you think looks the "coolest" and work around that.

Cheers

I was leaning to metal cause of looks and feel also I guarantee I will drop it eventually. I would consider the ICS M4A1 Full Metal just wondering if it is any good and if it has an odd colour receiver like some guns do (i cant stand to look at them)

but cause of Polo609 i really wann get one i think i am going to have to take ur word for it.

Well seeing as how Classic Army is the ONLY company to have the name Armalite on their receiver, I'd say that narrows down your choice.

Read the Information section instead of jacking threads.
If you dont know how an airsoft gun works, you badly need to read that section.

k greylocks...honestly..are you just good at flaming people? cuz you're in every thread and you're are not informative at all!! u always trash noobs with that fucking generic response you have. i think you should not even respond if you have nothing important to say about the topic.

and i was being polite when i first entered this thread. i said "sorry to hop into ur thread". did you not see me apologize in advance?! or is your 'ego' blinding you? plus, you didnt even start this thread! if nechcs said something, then fine, cause nechcs started this thread. and atleast i used a ongoing thread and didn't start a new one just about a fps reading.

now the most importart thing, i've been on this forum for a few months and i have DONE MY RESEARCH (and i see you in almost every thread, trashing someone)! i've been lookin at all types of companies and how their guns perform. i've looked at canadian sites and american sites; just to compare the performance on guns. i even emailed some retailers and read gun reviews. i cant even remember how many i read. therefore, from these people i received many different fps readings.
the only time i post, is after i HAVE DONE my research and i was not able to come up with a conclusion!!

so don't tell me that i dont know how a gun works!! don't judge me about not reading!! and fucking stop judging other people about not reading!! UNDERSTAND?!

you don't know everything! so if you don't know the answer, SHUT UP!! i can take contructive critizism but you just critizice about 'not reading or being a noob'! i understand some noobs are just retarded and you can see that they haven't read anything on this forum but not eveyrone is like that. so make sure what the person has done before YOU react. honestly, i again, i can't stress it enough;shut up if you have nothing important to say!

oh, and did you answer my last question? oh wait, no you didn't (again). so SHUT UP

jeanius

ps: sorry nechcs for putting this into your thread* <--- GREYLOCKS, DID YOU READ THAT?!
