What version are the newest CA M-16's?

Confused. :roll: Some say ALL CA M-16's are version 2, some say version 4 is the latest. Also, when ordering a new one (and after receiving it) how can you tell which version it is? Thanks!

By version 2 they mean the "Type" of gearbox it uses. For example the AK uses a version 3 gearbox I believe. All M4's and armalite variants use a version 2 gearbox. When they say version 4 they mean version 4 of the overall product. The version 4 CA's have a version 2 mechbox. Confusing to a new comer yes, but you'll understand.
