I just found pics of VFC's HK416 looks like it kinda got over shadowed by VFC's AKS74U

What's amusing is HK had to change the name to 416 because Colt got uppity about HKM4 infringing on their trademark. Then a judge ruled that Colt not only has no right to the term M4, but to the term AR-15 and a few others as well.

The "HK416" is looking pretty nice. I wonder what the price will be compared to the AKS74U....

most likly the same price or close to the AKS74 now i must buy the gun cause its H&K and plus it wouldb be easier to find a vest for its mags.
but heres my question where does the battery go cause the gas tubes right on top of the of the barrel mmm i wunder. heres a real steal HK416 mounted with the AG416 and the Grenade Launcher Module (GLM). made just for the HK416. |

I'd thought I'd just give a little update. According to VFC the HK416 will be due out this Summer. But before that VFC will be coming out with a M60 Mk43MOD0 (M60E4) in May.
Also I speculate that VFC may also come out with a M249. There was a bunch of photos in a magazine comparing a GB-Tech(VFC) vs a TOP version of the M249 it was a prototype it fetures full trades and full metal. But the article was from early last year. VFC Price Guestimates: AKS47UN = $475US HK416 = $450US MK43MOD0= $1300US |

OMG, I think I found my next primary rifle.
The Jane article on HK 416 from Eddie's link is worth reading. It seems the real steel thing is an enormous improvment on the M4/M16 design. But who are these VFC guys ? Any info on the company and the quality of their products ? Seems pretty new to the AEGs biz.

Sweet Jeebus. I was just about to order a Guarder HK416 metal body, but now I think I'll have to wait. I too wonder about the quality of VFC though. But I guess as long as the body is good it should be ok, because I'll be upgrading the internals anyway.
