Orange flash hider on UTG MP5
Hey, I had built one of the homemade sliencers for the UTG and I have just received my gun. However I am unsure about how to remove the Orange flash hider.
If anyone could help me out that would be awsome Thanks, Corey |

orange tip
I noticed in your picture your barrel is off. Do I have to take that off first. I am trying my best to just screw off the tip but to no avail.

You have a UTG MP5. Heh. Sometimes it screws off in weird directions, directions you wouldn't think of. Keep the faith

Hey Mujahadeen here posting from Cor's login... I'm over here with him and with 4 years of tinkering with my weapons I STILL can't get this bastard off... seems to be either glued in or perhaps the inner barrel "crimped" onto the orange muzzle... does anyone know if the threading is 14mm CLOCK wise or COUNTER CLOCK wise. I'm raping this thing with a vice grip...

Update -
If you're looking from the barrel down, counter-clockwise unscrews. Mine came right off w/o any trouble... Also, did you guys check out the arnies thread?? May help a bit... http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forum...howtopic=30898 Most of the pics and reviews are from the original UTG version, yet everything should be applicable to your front end. EDIT for SP/Wording |

Get a Mastercraft Mini Boa Constrictor (or other generic versions from just about everywhere else), those things are a blessing, I swear by them.

I dont know if another tool is going to help me that much, what exactly is this tool. I twisted prettyhard with vicegrips and the tip isnt budging. I dont want to put much more strain on the barrel. If this thing is glued in with the threads is there anything I can apply to it to losen the glue....ie: heat with a heat gun, I dont know. Me and Mujahadeen tried pretty hard twisting this thing...

Heating it likely wouldn't work... seems to me that the plastic would also expand and hinder you a bit more there...
Anyway... mine is here... well, in town. Whoop! Get it tonight! Thanks Sam! (sorry, review for you will have to wait a couple days - REALLY busy now with some studies, it will come soon though) |
