UTG M87 or what?
I would just like some advice. I am just starting Airsoft and want to get a good spring gun just for playing with friends. (in like a backyard) and i just want to know what would be a good choice for a gun (we are only using springers so we dont have to shell out huge cash for AEGs) I have looked into the UTG M87 (or whatever it is exactly) and it looks like a good gun. but it does not have iron sights so it will be alot harder to aim. I have used the crosman shotgun i think the s30 or sumthing but it was easy to use and aim and i could also buyt that but i would like something better. Is this gun better? Thanks for any comments (keep in mind i have about a 100$ limit)

No.
Why is it not better? Because you CANNOT legally use it in your back yard, and you WON'T use it on a non-airsoft designated area. Stick with clear guns. Crosman has a 350fps clear shotty coming out at some point... if it's not already out, anyway, get that one. |

Oh man crossman beats the hell out of the guns we use seriously...ok if you do want some advice...save up moeny for a decent AEG/Gas pistol. Gas Non Blowbacks are as low as 99 dollars somewhere but I won't tell you where...

Really though, you can buy some pretty nice GBBs in the states for under $100 CND total.
Hit a few of those up, maybe some for your friends too - saves on shipping. |

I amagine you have a link to this? ASS! WHOOP! You sir are a complete ASS! You have multiple accounts, maybe they are not banned, but they should be If nothing else, you are using crap-ass springers. Shoot your eye out. Just think of them as BB guns - as, that is what they are. Why don't you just leave right now? Now, can you shoot a BB gun in your backyard, legally? NO! You can't, get over it. Oh, and stop calling yourself swat, x-navy seal, etc. |

the answer is NO!! a airsoft gun IS considered a firearm under the law, however as they usually are not over the 500fps and 5.7joule threshold they do not require licensing or registration. you cannot discharge a firearm in most municipalities (towns and cities) and this goes for bb and pellet guns. as they replicate real firearms and your neighbors won't know the difference, this will result in a call to the police about a kid with a gun and you're in for a world of trouble. use some common sense and play at a designated airsoft or paintball field, but certainly not your backyard. SHEEEESH!!

Even if it says that... it would mean in such places like in say a remote place on some farming land...
Anyway, can you get a quote? Can't quite find where it says we can shoot in our backyards. By the way, are you going to go by an outdated post on a forum, or go the hell yourself down to the RCMP to check? Also, Go Mcguyver! |

a Quote from your link. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/archive....php/t-30.html
1) If you take your gun out in public, you will be treated as if it is a real gun. This means that failing to comply with peace officer requests could end in you being SHOT. 2) Play ONLY in areas that are PRIVATE and that you have PERMISSION to use. This does NOT include parks, school yards, or government forests. These areas should not be visible to passers by. Do NOT use your backyard. 3) The people in power make the rules. If a police officer deems to confiscate your gun, he has that right. If customs choses to sieze your gun, they have that right. This isn't a consistant occurance, but when it happens there's really not much of a point you arguing about it. Especially if a police officer takes your gun. If he had the chance to take it from you, you probably weren't behaving properly with it anyways. 4) Airsoft is not illegal, but it IS in a very fragile state. Continuing negative public exposure can ruin it for EVERYONE. If you don't want to be responsible for having airsoft banned in Canada, be responsible and mature about your conduct. Treat the gun as a real one and chances are you won't have any problems. |

I have a simple solution for you, wait until you are 18, and until then read the Information section.
Or... refuse to read the information, do as you please, and we'll read about you in the papers. |
