Experience w/ PLATEminus V2? Other low-pro PC suggestions?
So I saw the BFG PLATEminus V2 is on sale for $300 ($350 w/ tax, shipping), regular $430, on 911supply, and I'm really considering it. Seeing as I sold my Condor PC the other day, I'm in the market for a new one and this seems like a great opportunity. Does anyone have any experience with this, or know someone who does, and have some input on my decision? If someone has some better suggestions, please let me know. I'm also looking at a JPC, but it's almost $450 on ctoms and no used ones available on ASC rn... Any input is much appreciated!!
Thanks, Michael |

What defining features are you looking for?

Looking for something light weight, comfortable and durable, pretty much. My old Condor was quite bulky and not all that comfortable. I would also prefer to have a MOLLE cummerbund. I know I could buy a new one w/ MOLLE, but prefer not to do that.

Well, the new generation of plate carriers are all light weight and low profile in a similar price bracket. In addition to the plateminus, you can often find the LBT 6094 heavily discounted, and the Mayflower APC is a similar price.
Also in that price range are the Perroz Designs plate carriers. The nice thing about that is each one is custom made and you can contact Milan and have things done to your taste. For instance, you can mix and match colours. Or have a velcro patch added or extended or removed. |
