Help: Tippmann m4 shoots on its own

Hey folks, I recently acquired a used tippmann m4 on the classified section here.

The previous owner mentioned an issue with full auto not working properly but semi was fine.

Only internal mods are a tdc mod and a pdi barrel.

Now when I plug in the hose and open the valve, the line fills up. If I try to shot, nothing happens. If I pull the charging handle and release it, it starts shooting full auto without pulling the trigger and wont stop until I shut the air flow....

Any one can help or point what i'm doing wrong?

Any help will be much appreciated

Your sear is most likely worn out. The tippmann uses a sear to hold the bolt in preparation for firing, and if its worn out then your bolt wont catch allowing it to shoot on its own. Talk to tippmann about getting a replacement trigger group or trigger sear.

You should ask for help on the Tippmann m4 Owners group on Facebook. Theres a plethora of knowledge and advice on there.

That being said, like above it could be a sear issue. OR back out your buffer tube 1 turn.

Thanks guys.

I did post it too on the facebook tippmann owner group and got an answer pretty quick. It was indeed the buffer tube I had to back out 2 turns.

It's a Tippman, so you're kinda lucky it works at all.

Sorry. My comment was likely not helpful.
