KJW G27 Broken Hop chamber

I have two KJW G27 and all suffered the same issue: a little metal lip of the hop up chamber breaks.
The pistol seems working fine with the broken part too, what this lip needs for? Maybe to lower the slide release lever inserting the slide?

This time I'll buy an aftermarket hop chamber to avoid the issue. Any advice?

There used to be a hook on the hop up chamber and it broke off because... well pot metal. It seems like the hook on the hop up chamber is used to stabilize, and prevent the hop up unit and inner barrel from moving. This occurs when the slide blows back. I think its the combination of the barrel tilt, and the force of the hook grabbing onto the frame, that caused that part to break off. Its pretty common and I have never really looked into it because it does not really impede function.

I would contact KJW for the spare parts. You can find their email on their site.

Yes I know Kjw sells parts but I already broken two hop chamber hooks, I think is better to buy an upgraded one or make some kind of mods.

Well in that case the Glock 17 hop up chambers are universal for all Glock series. Except for earlier WE Glock models. I think there are a few companies that make aftermarket hop up chambers. (AIP, TSC)

Sure it is universal for all Glock? saw it in many pics and the aftermarket G17 chamber looks very different, the AIP for example

Well they should be compatible, however after some digging I found this thread on another website. http://www.gasguns.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=11465

It seems that the hop up units are different. (for KJW and TM)

Here is another interesting picture. (Custom modification for KJW pistols)

Yeah it seems that KJW Glocks use a different hop up design. You would need to find a hop up chamber that does not use a G17/18 design. I'm thinking of a G26 aftermarket hop up, if you can find one. Or modify your hop up to reinforce that hooked area.
