BBs rolling out new BA rifle

So I just took my CA M24 out of the box and BBs are rolling out the barrel when it points down. It is brand new. What could be wrong?

Crappy hopup rubber could be the case too

most likely the hop is turned off. It only ever needs to be off when you're cleaning the barrel

I doubt it's that the hop up is off since I turn the screw CCW (augmenting hop) as much as possible without it sticking out so much that the cylinder catches it and the bolt cannot lock forward. Therefore, I cannot put more hop than it already has. But still, the BBs roll out when I angle the gun downwards.

A) http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=170419 + B) http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=170424 = Something aint right.

Before you apply any more force why not someone else have a look in person. Someone familiar with that platform.

Yeah I think it would be wise. I also contacted Mach1 from which I bought it. I mean, it is brand new, received it today and haven't touched a thing...

I took it now and something definitely is broken. What is that? Nub? There are two pieces like that that fell off when I took out the hop up assembly.

I don't know if you shot already. I had a similar issue with my GBBR. I put accidentaly the hop up at max. Every shot, it was blocking the BB during the shot and right after the BB was rolling out of the barrel.. I just turn down the hop up and everything is fine.
Hope it can help

It fires fine, I just can't (I think) put any hop. It seems, as posted above, that the nub (again, I think) was broken out of the box. See pic above for details.

You will need to post a more detailed picture than that!

This is only the outside chamber of the hopup. You need to inspect the inside of the chamber, the hop up rubber, the lever that pushes down on the rubber, as well as the spring and the ccw chamber.

I see they are a participating retailer. Contact them and see what they will do to fix the situation.

Yeah I was wary about opening up the whole thing but I will. I thought just from the looks of the broken piece someone could tell what it is. Most people seem to think it's the nub. I will be upgrading to the PDI chamber and bucking so I will be switching it out soon anyway, but it is a major bummer to buy a brand new gun and receive it broken out of the box.

I have contacted Mach1 about it. They have been great throughout the whole transaction so far so we'll now see how they handle this.
