TM P226 Slide Lock
So my TM P226 recently began having the well-documented and widely-dreaded slide stop wear, preventing the slide from being held back.
Goddammit. Now, I would like to rectify this issue, but I'm not certain how to proceed. I would like to keep the plastic slide for better cooldown mitigation and crisper blowback, so I can't file down the piece on the BBU that's worn and just rely on the slide cutout to stop the slide. I have found the UAC BBU replacement, but since it's made out of aluminium, I'm concerned it'll do the same thing as my stock Marui one, wear itself down, and essentially be a waste of $41. So I suppose my questions are: 1. What sorts of things have TM P226 owners done to fix this slide stop issue? 2. Will a UAC BBU wear down this fast? 3. Are there other brands of BBU that will fit TM P226? Any help would be great.
