Cordless Kangaroo Mag Pouches?
I found two and I decided to go with the the Ferro Concepts Kydex Triple Shingle but the retention is too high for my PTS pmags. I can hear the velcro coming off and my PC lift up when I try to pull out my mags. Will these loosen up with continued use?
Another option I found is the S&S Skeletonized Magazine Retention. These are relatively new and I have the same concern about the high retention. Does anyone have experience with these two kangaroo mag pouches or are there better options? |

Just tweak the Kydex. Heat gun, leather gloves, and some cold water.

heatgun... be very light with the application of heat. Too hot and it can burn the kydex, too long and you will erase the entire shape.

Thanks, I don't have a heat gun at my disposal so I guess a blow dryer will suffice.

Blow dryer might do it with enough time. Problem is you will heat the entire object and risk losing all shape.
Heat guns are cheap. -Grant |

I use kywi pouches, same idea with the kydex inserts. Same issue with them being way too tight.
Pull the inserts out, apply heat with a bic lighter right on the bends ( not too close or youll burn the kydex) and relieve the bends. Boiling water works too, but it'll make it ALL formable, not just the bends. |

Ending up going with dedicated mag pouches on my Flyye JPC. Hate the way the kangaroo pouch on the Flyye tend to reseal itself after the mags are out, and the sharp "hook loop" bites into your fingers when you try to reopen the pouch.
I was looking also at the Ferro Concepts Kydex. Still too expensive for what you get. |

blow drier wont get hot enough. Forming temp is about 360-400F
You need immediate heat in a specific location for a few seconds. Exposing it to long term heat will relax it towards flatness because the areas outside where you want to relax will be soaking up heat as well.

been a while since I did anything with it, so you're probably right. I think I have .080 stock... need to get rid of it, doubt I'll be using it any time soon. :P
