G&g max m418

My gun isn't firing or making a noise at all and I was wondering if the motor could possibly be burnt out and that would cause the connection to be stopped, also if the gears were locked up could that cause no noise?

There's a break (open circuit) in your electricals if there is no noise at all.
If the gears were "locked up", you would still be able to hear a click.

Motor could be out (typical of shitty motors) or your motor connectors could be loose.

burned out trigger contacts possibly...

lots of things can happen in the circuit to result in no noise/dead gun.

Would holding down the trigger when it was stuck in a cycle have caused the motor to burn out? It's the MAX series so it's the Canadian version of the Toptech t418 so it has a very high fps. I've put about 5000+ rounds through it. There's also no fuse in the gun so would holding down the trigger while it was jammed in the gearbox either A)cause the motor to burn out or B)cause wires to burn out I guess? They're low resistance silver wiring, I think 16 gauge

Also I connected the motor outside of the grip and it didn't spin.

You need to take your gun apart and test with a multimeter.

If you dont have a multimeter maybe try and re solder the wire leads on the motor, also try putting a new set of battery connectors on. You can use ec3 connectors from your local hobby shop and this way you know if you do a good job that is not the issue. Also the cheap brushed motors in airsoft guns die for all sorts of reasons all the time. If you think that the motor is toast then try taking it apart and check the windings for any burnt out parts and try to clean the brushes.
