VFC AEG MK18 Low FPS

Ok so my gun on a element m90 spring was doing about 311 fps on .20 bbs with the stock vfc barrel and hop up. I was expecting something abit higher than that. Now if i bump the spring up to a m100 by vfc would that possibly put me over the 350 fps limit? I do have access to a friends chrono to confirm, just looking for input before taking the whole dang gun apart.

Also with a angry gun 407 inner barrel 6.03 and modfiy hop up with vfc rubber (all i had spare to use) my fps drops to about 260 with .20s any idea on this?

Cheers

Are you using this for indoor? I honestly wouldn't worry about it. If you do the math the difference in time to target between 270 FPS and 350 FPS isn't much at say 20 or 30 feet.

Yes it is my cqb gun at this point in time, Just looking to get abit more preformance out of it. Due to the fact I'm going to start using slightly heavier weight ammo for it as the modify hop up seems to like .28's or .30's Best flight path with that ammo from what i have seen

1) You have an air leak somewhere (barrel or hop rubber or hop unit, or nozzle, or piston head, or cylinder head)
2) Modify hop-ups have never really worked well for me in the past (15-30fps drop compared to most other aftermarket units - consistent though)
3) Your cylinder volume isn't matched to your barrel. (why are you using a 407mm barrel for CQB?)

Something in your system is not right. VFC internals on a M90 should nab you at least 330 fps.

as odd as this sounds, did you remove the cylinder and put it back backwards?

Longer barrel as i have a silencer/Barrel extention on my gun. What hop up unit would you recommend?

Stock VFC actually seals very nicely. If you're really after a metal one, Lonex ones are alright.

Fair enough, I've had F$!@!#ing crap luck with modify parts anyways. Just sticking with the vfc barrel and hop up for now. One question does anyone in the GTA (gun doc) do Rhop installs? Looking at having it done and looking for someone who know WTF they are doing any recommedations out there?

The best hop-up unit is the one that gives you the best results. Everybody is going to tell you something different because truth be told - everybody's setup is different.

I've had success with G&P and Lonex hop-ups, if I decide to move away from stock VFC.
