Issue with HSGI Belt Rig
I recently reconfigured my HSGI Suregrip belt rig with some new additions to it only to realize a major issue.
When I first bought my belt I didn't realize you were suppose to buy one size up, I've included images below to show my problem. There is an ample amount of access space between the buckle and where the molle on the belt actually starts, so I am wondering if there is any solutions someone makes that clips/attaches onto a duty belt that offers a molle panel platform, but won't move around and stay securely in place when in use. Now I did find one company that does make something I am looking for, DownRangeGear, however at the amount I'd be dishing out for their product, I would be better off getting a new belt all together. Just wondering if anyone else knows of something else I haven't thought of yet? |

You're kinda SOL man, sorry to say. Only thing I can suggest is using belt mounted pouches for duty belts, which you don't exactly want to do.

Haha yeah, I don't mind belt mounted pouches, I just want a molle platform so I can mount more Taco pouches to it, but I am not sure if there are any options to mount Tacos to a duty belt.

whats your waist size and size of belt you bought?
Also I thought their suggestion was for the DUTY BELT to be one size up to better fit the molle belt? |

I'm a 28" waist size. I thought so too but I'm questioning it now that I ran into this problem. I do have a HSGI Cobra belt too, although it is a Small but I will give it a whirl as see if it does anything. |

Get fat. More belt space.

You don't want molle or pouches on the front side of your abdomen at your belt. Makes bending impossible or painful, and inhibits the ability to wear a chest rig.
Belts are additional items to compliment a chest rig not a replacement. If you treat them as a replacement, you run out of real estate before they become usable. Most belt designers know this, and design them accordingly. I see nothing wrong with the setup.

28"? I think I got a leg that's 28".
I have had a couple pistol tacos on a battle belt in those positions... it ended up not being a good spot to put anything... when I bent over the pouches would bend and work the mag up and out of the pouch with it. Didn't matter how tight I had the taco... it was kinda weird. Though it just might be that I'm fat and this doesn't happen with skinny people. :x
