e's Tokyo Marui M9: The Tactical Master

For a while now I've wanted to tackle building an M9.
Although the WE M9s were great and certainly fun to shoot, I was more intent on customizing a Marui version instead (surprise. surprise). This was mainly due to aftermarket availability of parts. And I didn't want to deal with measurement issues and what not as was the case with my former WE M9s.

Thus, when one popped up in the classifieds, I certainly jumped on the opportunity. Granted it wasn't for me originally at the time but I was allowed to do whatever I wanted to it after I received it.

So I present my take on Tokyo Marui M9 Tactical Master.

This Tokyo Marui was formerly Drake's M9.
He had installed the VERY VERY e-llusive (heh) G&G M9 Metal receiver, metal slide and metal barrel.

As you can see the metal slide and receiver was preserved very well. Hardly any holster scracthings on it at all!!!

One thing that I'm not a fan of is laser etching but what are you gonna do?

This gun features all stainless steel hand controls from Guarder.
I contemplated on the color scheme for this particular pistol.

If you look closely, there is actually a tri-tone schema to gun. The Grip is plastic black, the frame and slide are close to greyish and the silver hand controls

I was like..."fuck it. Just do it cause you can, you bastard."

Many of you will know how much I like my duo-tone guns but this is by far pushing that boundary...

I'm sorta double thinking it now...

One thing to note though....
Every single Guarder part that I've installed on this platform needed modification. I mean EVERYTHING.

One of the things that drew me to Drake's sale was largely due to the fact that the gun has a non-Guarder metal kit on it. Which means, no modification of crucial components like the BBU to fit everything in.

This system actually borrows a kit of KJW's parts.
TO fix a problem with the blowback, I tried WII-Tech's metal loading muzzle. That was a bust as the loading muzzle couldn't create a tight seal with the piston head.

So I fitted a KJW blue loading muzzle and stock piston head and piston head housing on and suprisingly, the guns shoot's pretty well.

also.....LASSSSERRRRRRRRRR.
.....cause I can.

The Parts:

-G&G Metal Body kit and outer barrel
-Guarder Stainless steel outer barrel
-Guarder Stainless steel slide catch
-Guarder Stainless steel magazine catch
-Guarder Stainless steel takedown lever
-Guarder Stainless steel safety levers
-Guarder Stainless steel trigger bar
-Guarder Stainless steel trigger
-Guarder Stainless steel hammer
-Guarder Black Edition M9 6.02 inner barrel
-KM Stainless steel sear
-KM Stainless steel valve knocker
-KM Stainless steel valve locker thingy
-KJW M9 piston head set
-KJW M9 stock loading muzzle
-Action high output magazine valve
-Nineball hi-flow valve
-Action stainless steel recoil spring guide
-Action 150% recoil spring
-Kings Arms 190% hammer spring

This Tokyo Marui M9 Tactical master clocks in at 315-332 FPS on propane and .20g BBs.

Big thanks to Drake for letting me buy this monster.

That's all for now!
See you next build, folks!

Pistol looks great, digging the two-tone for sure!

Thanks for the short review!

If you have time or an SLR should take some better quality photos!

lol.
A new SLR would be a nice CHristmas present. My work won't let me take theirs home.

And I just broke mine. My dog chewed the shit out of it....
