Where to sight your Optics?
Hi All
Just curious, where do you sight your optics (iron sights, red-dots etc)? Lots of info on how, but haven't seen any info as to where. Do you just sight them at the field prior to the games starting? Visit a Gun Range? In your garage (I have ~30 feet in my garage)? If a gun range (or someplace similar) can anyone recommend a place in the Metro Vancouver Area? |

Early on game day is best.
You want to zero at the range you'll be playing at and the field is the most convenient spot.

at the field.
you'll probably be laughed at if you show up to a real range.

Well, I did show up at the range with airsoft gun to sight in, freak out some old timer because it's G&P M249 with that dummy rounds. I'm a member at the club as well so it's cool down after.

Sure....if you are a member of a shooting range.
I sighted in my compound bow at the range. |

I zero at 45 feet at home to get a rough dial-in for my sights. I aim 1-1.5 inches below the target to compensate for paralax. I then do my finetuning at the field. It works pretty well.
