The one that GWS had out only worked with an ICOM, Kenwood, and phone/iPhone. Would be nice to have one that works with, say, two Kenwood and the phone.

I think emerson is making a clone of the GWS one, that is a clone of silynx.

I'll second this general idea: nice to have something that would allow, say, three radios: one for squad, one for overall side, and one for admin/emergency. Having it able to adapt to several connector types would also be good, but would understandably raise the cost.

I bought one of these from Ebaybanned. The Element C4OPS replica. It has a dedicated 3.5mm phone jack and the A and B comms end in a mini din connector, which requires radio specific adapters. So far, it works great with my iPhone, but I cannot test with radios because the radio pigtails were shipped separately and have not arrived yet.
Note that this does NOT work with replica headsets - only real ones. It works with Peltor Comtac II's, MSA Sordin Supreme Pro's, as well as the TEA Ultralite. I bought one of the new Bowman style replicas that can change from left to right, thinking I would need it with this, but it does not work. I also tried some older replica headsets with the TP-120 style connector and they do not work either. The PTT is really big and does not feature any internal power - the battery compartment is fake. Huang, I would really like it if someone would make the same functionality but in a smaller PTT. I know there are a lot of people who want to do impressions with it, but a smaller, dedicated dual comm + phone PTT would be great. When the Tri version comes out I will get one and do a comparison if you want. |

I think Tri's production will better than other china replica company, because i did try to use Z-tac comtac headset to united star AN/prc-148 radio for test, anthan my team's 2 of saber,3 of kenwood receiving radio all was Damaged,do you know united star,emerson,z-tac are The same company in China??
How quality of them?you know it!!! |

I got the Kenwood pigtails to use with the Emerson today. Unfortunately it is somehow mis-wired. There are three PTT buttons, one for radio A, one for radio B, and a third for the phone (answer/hang up, start/stop music.) Mine works as follows:
PTT A - activates both radios at the same time PTT B - starts/stops Siri on the iPhone MODE - answers/hangs up call, starts/stops music. So it isn't really a dual PTT and really doesn't help other than if you want one radio and a phone. Taking it apart, I can see that the A radio downlead and B radio downlead are soldered together on all four wires - meaning that it just isn't a crossed wire. Edit: I did a review of it here: http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=152482 Last edited by EagleDriver; March 25th, 2013 at 15:18.. |
