WWII Gear wheres the best place to get it?

After a marathon of Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers I got this itch to try a WWII themed game, but my question is where is the best place to get gear?

I was hoping somewhere locally (GTA) or a website that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for gear.

I don't know any in the GTA area. Got all my stuff online. Atthefront.com is good, they have everything and you can put a complete kit together.
There is also:
http://www.spearheadmilitaria.com/
and
http://hikishop.com/

But I got most of my stuff at At The Front.

I suggest holding off on the purchase until you decide if you actually like WW2 airsoft.

There are a few guys that have extra gear and uniforms that are willing to lend them out for a day.

You can always go the civvy route as a partisan if you wish.

There are two Ontario WW2 games in October. Both allow some flexibility in kit and weapons.

What he said..

come out to a game.. see if you like it ( you will ) then start gutting together your gear.

the local WWII community is very supporting.

1. Toronto Military Show - haven't been in years but definitely worth hitting up.

2. What Price Glory (aka onlinemilitaria.net , ww2-reenacter etc)
- Just ordered a UK airborne smock and other items from them, definitely recommended!

3. eBay!

www.hessenantique.com if you're doing German. At The Front are full of themselves and just sell chinese gear anyway, like everyone else. But then they tag on an extra $10-30 on each item.

Hessen kinda sucks though because they refuse to use anything other than UPS. Just got a package in and YAY another $120.00 to UPS. I wonder... we should do some sort of petition and send it to Hessen Antique. Maybe they'd make an exception for us Canadians. I know we've all had to go through the UPS bullshit. Bleh.

I find with Hessen, a fair few things are fairly off in colour.
They have a great section of little odds and sods that nowhere else really has, but the UPS will eat you alive as mentioned.

www.MilitaryTour.com is one I like. Used to really like www.Hikishop.com, but with the current Paypal issues leaving us to use Western Union, I am passing on them for now.

I'll say it again. Go to a game or training event or whatnot first.

Take the loaner stuff if you can for the first event. Again, there seems to be at least 2 or 3 guys at most games that can easily kit another player out half decently for a day.

US, Commonwealth and German gear and uniforms each have a different feel and comfort level.

I have at least 6 field impressions hovering around the 80% completion level or higher give or take. Some of the impressions I can wear all day and then some. Others fall into the "celebration of uncomfortable clothes" category.

And if you are going for a German impression, you should at the very least pick up two Axis items made by SM Wholesale USA (sssmwholesale is their store on ebay). Their stuff is not cheap nor is the shipping. But the quality and authenticity is top shelf. Their jackboots are as close to the real deal as it gets as far as reproductions are concerned.
