King arms m4 Problem
My king arms m4 seems to be missfiring. No bb's come out the barrel 1 shots on 2, but the gearbox seem's to be cycling normally even when it missfeeds. Found later on that my Li-Po 7.4v battery was kind of ``melted``.Sometimes it stops missfeeding and shoot bb's normally and then, all of a sudden it starts again. My friend repaired the connectors (deans)
on my gun recently because I could get no contact between the gearbox and the battery. I also drop by accident my gun in the sand (only the flashider was covered in sand and I cleaned the internal barrel and the flashider).I use BB bastards .28 silica bb's and king arms .25 bio bb's. Please help me guy's. What's wrong with my airsoft gun? |

Did you clean the hop up chamber and bucking?

I've had some issues with KA bio's double feeding in my gun so I don't use them anymore. Are you having the same issues with both brands of bb's (KA and Bastards)? Try some regular (non-silica/bio) bb's I find Madbull and Bastards to be good.
As HK said check your hop-up, try different mags too, sometimes they can be the issue. Also check to see if your nozzle is in good order. Last edited by Kozzie; July 25th, 2012 at 00:57.. |

I don't know if this is related, but my friend's KA m4 was having similar feeding issues. I changed the hop-up bucking (to a new and standard bucking unlike the special one that comes stock) and that seems to have completely solved the problem.
Incidentally, he had a battery catch fire in his gun too... Last edited by Maethori; July 25th, 2012 at 01:28.. |

I have issues with both BB brand. How to clean the hop-up unit? It seemed clean the last time I openened my gun but I didn't clean it to not risk to break my hop-up. I tried to use my friend mag but it didn't worked too.
Thanks for your quick replies guy's |

I'm going to split hairs here a bit...mostly to do with terminology.
The hopup unit is the piece that hold the inner barrel, hopup rubber, nub...and actuated the hopup action with gears, a lever and a spring. Unless it's really fouled, I've never heard of someone needing to clean the actual hopup unit. The hopup rubber and inner barrel are definitely things that benefit from cleaning...and there's a couple of ways to do this. 1. Use a cleaning rod with a loop...use a very thin patch. Turn the hopup all the way off or you risk tearing the rubber with the rod. This may end up cleaning your barrel a bit, but it's really just pushing all the crud down to your rubber. 2. Take the entire hopup unit, inner barrel out...turn off the hopup completely...take the inner barrel, hopup rubber out of the hopup unit...take the rubber off the inner. Use a cleaning rod and a patch and clean the inner. A little bit of windex, silicone oil or something non harsh is all that's needed. Wash the hopup rubber in hot, soapy water...dry thoroughly. Reinstall...pay careful attention to the nub...there are some good images on google of a clear hopup unit and where the nub should be positioned. The condition of the battery has nothing to do with misfeeds. If it will cycle the gun in semi...you're good so far as this issue is concerned. So far as your lipoack being goofy...that's a different thing Hope that helps Last edited by m102404; July 25th, 2012 at 22:31.. |
