Have only fired this pistol one hundred times since June 2 purchase. Now
trigger pulls back but not engaging . Don't want to open up and void warranty
(2 weeks with Toronto Airsoft- 1 month with Socom) .Any advice out there?

If it doesnt work and its under warranty... take it back and use the warranty...

or, you open it up, look at the problem and fix it.

is there an actual warranty? does it explicitly say you can't break down the gun? how do you clean or maintain the internals if you can't open it up?

from the moment I got mine home after buying it months ago, it was cracked open and on spread across my work bench within 10 minutes of getting it home.

I don't have mine at the moment and I can't remember how I fixed the issue but a complete break down was required to get to the issue.

The store warranty is 14 days- I have had this 13 business days until it failed as they are open only Wed to Sat.- so I assume they will do the right thing.
The Socom warranty is 30 days but not covering labour.Will post results of my visit to plead my case. I realize it is a $100 product but also had to buy a $25
adaptor.

Note: Warranty void if it is tampered with.

[Thread Jacking] is there anyway to reduce the FPS on this pistol? I was interested in getting one but with a ~400fps out of the box it is a concern.

only way we can think of is to shorten the hammer spring. would involve cutting the spring until it resulted in just the right amount of force to open the valve on the mag. BUT, it's hard to know how much is too much as I don't know the balance point for the valve.

could also drill a small hole in the inner barrel or something to bleed gas.

How about running it on duster?

I have one myself but I have no duster left to test how soft it'll get.

Duster isn't bad. Just need to make sure it's tetrafluoroethane.

It shot okay before I handed it off to get something custom made for it. Propane is a lot crisper but if I recall, the accuracy wasn't all that bad for CQB ranges

edit: I did a review on a private board. FPS with duster and .2's = 286 - 305 fps

I use the "non-flammable" Blow off which is tetraflouroethane
The regular Blow off use to be tetra but has recently changed to difloruethane.

I visited the dealer who exchanged for a new pistol so I hope the trigger action
lasts. I wish Socom had supplied their allen key for hop-up adjustment.I have
tried a few but difficult to know if I'm using the right size ( don't want to mess up the screw head as you can't get the feel that it is happening) I suppose the best way is to disassemble and see it close up.
At 20 feet, getting half of the shots in 8.9 and 10 ring and a few flyers which I presume is to be expected considering the low cost and trigger action.
Plus, open sights are a challenge for accuracy for me.Even if I could mount a red dot or other optic, this additional expense seems over the top for a pistol of this overall build.
Anyway, I'm relieved not being stuck with a $100 paper weight.

What weight BB's are you using? I found .28 and .3's worked great without any hopup adjustment even required.

Some other smart person here may know the exact size allen key required. You can always try a few out until you find one that mates well without any wobble/play.

Not sure what the Allen key size is. I reached into my tool tray and pulled a random one out that just happened to fit.
