DBoys 7mm V3 gearbox vs. CYMA V3 gearbox

Hey guys,

Not sure if this is the right section for this, but wondering if anybody has an opinion on which gearbox is better...once you've cleaned it up and reshimmed it.

DBoys 7mm V3 gearbox or the CYMA V3 gearbox

I know I'm probably comparing California oranges to Florida oranges, but I was wondering if anybody knows of a big/significant difference between the 2.

Once cleaned up, they both seem to be the same to me as far as performance goes, but I know there are far more discerning players out there, so please chime in if you have an opinion.

Thanks

Owner of gearboxes from both companies here. I'd lean towards the CYMA. My two DBoys gearboxes have been rather banged up and frail, and some of the mechbox screws strip easily. On the other hand, CYMA V3 gearbox seems to be relatively well-respected out there -- no problems with mine so far.

If you are choosing between V3 gearboxes and can expand your selection, go with the Lonex complete V3 gearbox, or possibly the King Arms. If you are asking this question because you want to choose between a CYMA and DBoys gun, go with the CYMA.

Hope that helps

Also worked on both. I would go the CYMA. They seem to have made improvements over the years where are dboys normally releases the same shit. As MaciekA said, the screws strip easy. Also nothing wants to stay put in a dboys mechbox.

Awesome! Thanks so much for the help guys. I have looked at the Lonex and KA gearboxes too, but since I have a modest budget, DBoys and CYMA are what I'm leaning towards.

Really appreciate the advice though, so thanks again very much to you both.
