Ares G36 (Long) and Li-Po 7.4

Hey guys, tommorow I am buying an Ares G36 from a friend and I was wondering if the Li-Po 7.4 it too much for the gun. I not too familar with the batteries and what to use for which gun. I also have an 8.4v Ni-mh battery from another airsoft and I'm not sure if I should use that or the Li-Po 7.4.

If it's the stock motor it should be fine if you're running around 350. Over 400fps the motor will audibly strain but will still turn over. If you ever decide to upgrade your spring you'll have to upgrade the motor as well. The microswitch prevents you from installing a MOSFET so I can't reccomend an 11.1. Not exactly you're question but just giving you my overall battery experience with the gun.

Pretty sure you can still install a MOSFET but just not one with AB

Pretty sure you can just swap the microswitch and install what ever you want...
