G&P Autobot - Post your impressions
So I noticed a retailer began stocking these recently, and while its a bit expensive I can't help but think its still reasonably priced considering all the magpul upgrades and the M203 included. These sold out quickly last time they were in stock and I'm thinking one or two must have gone to an ASC member. Or perhaps a few people have at least held and fired it in store.
What are your thoughts on the gun. Likes and dislikes, what you would change etc. From what I've read, it could use a spring upgrade right out of the box. Regarding the barrel length and accuracy, would this be a competitive gun for outdoors or is it more suited for CQB? Last edited by jamex; May 16th, 2012 at 12:03.. |

I don't exactly have an autobot however, I do own the G&P viper and G&P magpul m4. I swapped out the upper of the viper and the lower of the magpul and strapped on my M203 thus making my own autobot. The only difference is the cut away for the flip up site. That being said, it's a fairly decent gun. After down grading it to 350fps i did a bit of target practice to see its accuracy. At close range (20-30ft) I got a fairly tight grouping but beyond that distance I found it to be quite inconsistant. However it's more of a cqb gun so I doubt your targets will be that far away. Oh and I used .25g bbs and .20 bbs. I havent had any internal problems and both guns have been through two games. between the two I've fired at least 4000 rounds. Hope that helps.
