KAC PDW Questions
First off, I can't seem to find any writings that mention any military users of the weapon, and was curious if anyone here knew of any.
Secondly, do the WE plastic magazines use M4 magazine internals? I'm basically wondering if they can be frankensteined into CO2 capability.

As far as I know, there is no military uses the weapon.
WE PDW uses M4 magazine, as long as you use close bolt mag on close bolt PDW, so is open bolt. |

WE PDW mags (the plastic mags you refer to) internals are different from the WE M4 mags. Actually everything is different as when you do a closed to open bolt swap, the feed lips and follower are different than the m4 kits.

I mean have any high speed secret squirrel units bought any.
So the closed bolt uses M4 magazines and the open bolt uses the plastic 6x35 style ones? I think the photo on Redwolf showed it with an M4 mag.

No.
A closed bolt m4 mag will work with a closed bolt pdw. An open bolt m4 mag will work with an open bolt pdw. |

Oh I understand. But what I want to know is if the internals of the PDW magazine are the same dimensions as the M4 counterpart (OB or CB), since it can use M4 mags. Like if I had the internals of a CO2 M4 magazine to drop into the PDW shell. It would probably need minor filing but not much more work than a PMAG, no?

The PDW mag is narrower. The PDW shell will not fit over an M4 internal. The m4 shell will not work with PDW internals. Both shells are attached to their internals differently. The M4 shell has a tab near the front (feed side) that screws into the mag. The PDW shell is affixed with a screw in the middle of the floor plate.

The open bolt PDW can use M4 or PDW mags, but as for physical dimensions, the PDW mags have smaller gas reservoirs.
Only the bottom part of the PDW mag is close to milspec, the actual real steel mag is too small to fit into an M4 mag well |
