Exclamation Tornado Impact Grenade Storage

So, I picked up a Tornado Impact Grenade last week.....and its awesome!

My only question is how do you store it when its not in use. Do you leave it filled with a little gas, or do you leave it completely empty?

Thanks!

I don't have one, but I'd assume it'd be the same as with GBB mags, leaving gas in there.

Full or empty after a week or so it will be empty. The safety valve in it doesn't seal super well.

When I bought mine from the AI table at last years Airsoft convention they told me to leave a little gas in them like gbb mags. But as cetane said they were empty when I went to grab them for next week's game, even when left full. I didn't feel like filling them every few days so I've just been leaving them empty ever since and they work just fine. I just make sure to keep the seals lubed.

Just leave it empty as said above it won't hold the gas for a week anyways. Just ensure you always put some tornado oil in the chamber between games and it should work fine.

I leave them empty and when the next game is planned, I take them apart, clean and give the o-rings a good soak in sili spray; put it back together and gas it up and I usually leave gas in them until the game day and before I leave the house, I pull the pin. This way if there's an issue it can be addressed at that time and not when you're in the field.

I just dug out a couple for something coming up this weekend. They've been sitting unused for min 5 months (probably a bit longer).

I cannot remember how I had left them....but I suspect one had gas in it, since it was loaded with BBs too. The other was probably empty...of both BBs and gas.

Gassing them up yesterday...they both leaked right off the bat since they were dried right out. This is where MadMax's genius kicks in since his Impact grenade just screws apart at the top (like resetting it) and then you can pop the core out...wipe a gob of thick silicone oil on the two seals...and simply drop it back in. That's all I did and they both held gas immediately. Test fired them both...and then gassed them up and packed them up for this weekend.

So...bottom line...with his Impact grenades I wouldn't bother storing them with gas, just lube up the seals before you use them. And if I did store it with gas I wouldn't worry about it either...and just lube up the seals before using them.

MadMax is a genius for this design. Not only are they reliable but they're really easy to maintain.
I only have 5 timed and 2 impact grenades, so you can say that maintenance on these things is important for me...
I'd also suggest getting the spoon kit; with the kit it makes tear down and maintenance much easier, as you just grab the primer head and spin CCW, instead of inserting the pin or whatever other method there is for taking it apart.
