The part is made from 20mm wide steel, 2mm thick.
Dimensions are in mm. I don't know the screw size, but it DOES NOT go through the shorter side:

I'll rummage in the workshop and see if I have some suitable scrap metal. I think the stuff I have is either too thin or too thick.

+1

If we're to assume the pic of the part is correct, then the drawing - including at least 1 measurement - are wrong.

The hole is on the opposite side from the picture, and the measurement for the short side seems off. In the pic, it's just slightly shorter than the long side. In the drawing and according to the measurement, it's just a hair over ½ the length of the long side.

I would guess that the picture is of a real clip.
The dimensioned picture is airsoft.

there you go tankdude, picture is from a real steel Sten, the drawing is from the actual airsoft part...as for the hole I can do it, it's just the folding of the piece that I'm not sure how to properly do it

Not much to do...put the metal into a vice and bend it over. Once you're past a point, you can put it into the vice and continue to squeeze it "flat".

Place a spare piece in the fold if you don't want to crush the bend.

2mm sheet is going to fold pretty easy...you can "encourage" it with a hammer if you have to

Do the finish work...rounding off the edges, drilling the hole, etc...before you bend it.

You could probably do it simply with large pliers since it's such a simple shape.

For material...check the local building supply or homehardware...they usually have sheet/bar/round stock. You'll only need a bit too...so if there's a metal place around you (i.e. MetalSupermarket) then just going in and asking for a scrap might get you what you need.
