RIS for KWA m4 g2x
I just picked up the gun in the title used. I tried to install a G&P RIS that I had, but it wouldn't fit. Likewise when I tried to install the KWA grips onto the G&P front end, they were too big.
Does KWA take a proprietary size RIS? Or should I just replace the delta ring/front ring? I searched and found some other people asking the same kind of questions, but no one answered them.

KWA AEGS are known to have issues in compatability, they have huge mag problems everyone i know that owns one only can use PTS pmags or some CA mags in them they have serious mag issues.
In terms of aftermarket accessories i have no idea but i think they have issues with RIS and stuff so yer not the best platform IMO for upgrade ur better off with a TM m4a1 or even a King Arms M4A1

The kwa is pretty picky. Pts moe will fit perfectly but clone moe handguard is super tight. Do note that if you are taking off the delta ring, it is secured with red locktite so you will need proper tools for that. That being said, the threads are just like any other aeg and I personally have a madbull dd lite rail and it fit with no issues.
As for the mags, PTS, MAG, king arms, kwa(obviously), G&G, have all worked without issues. Only ones that dont feed are green label pmags. |

Cool, I'll just get a new delta ring then. I have an armorers wrench so I should be able to swap it easy enough. I take it the threading is metric, as KWA uses the same 2 piece Marui style hop up unit?
Thanks for the heads up on the mags. Do the standard metal KA 68 rounder box set mags work?

If normal aegs are threaded metric then it is metric. They use a marui style 2 piece unit but its a little bit more proprietary than that. You cannot just switch in a marui hop up (I have tried). The 2gx bucking is great, after about 15,000 or so rounds it still looks brand new. Yes, those mags will work, as well as the 100 version they make. I have yet to have a misfeed with the pts mags.
