rebuilding plastic, high wear spot????

so I've got this poor little mp7 that I'd like to use in a very special custom built project for my own madness.

the gun is beat up, but it works with one exception, the notch in the tappet plate that the gear actuates to move the tappet and load/seal the hop chamber is worn just to the point the gear skips it (yes the nozzle itself is in great shape!, I'm shocked too! LOL )

so I'm throwing this out there too the builders and customizers, is there anything you can think of I can use to rebuild this small relatively precise high wear spot?

I've got some really wicked glue (zapagap) that I use for all the rest of my custom builds and it's bonding strength is second to none ... but I don't know if it will stand up to being smacked by the gear directly, and the repair is so small that the pieces cut to fit in would be maddeningly tiny.

so... any suggestions?

depending of the type of plastic it is, you might be able to use modeling cement. it would be the ideal situation as the cement causes the plastic to partially melt and fuse together.

Buy replacement tappet?

If you can't afford a 10$ part, maybe it's not a good time for "custom projects"...

I previously ordered a replacement air nozzle from them. No issues during my transaction.

Did you check Airsoftparts.ca ? If he don't have what you need, send him an email, chances are he'll be able to get it to you quite fast.
