Most if not all AEG's come with a fuse. It's there to protect your motor and battery in the event of a short or other catastrophic event. Instead of your wires, battery and motor over heating and failing, the idea is that the fuse is the sacrificial component in the chain giving you an opportunity to repair or replace the problem parts. Much like the use of a fuse in most all electrical circumstances.
There are a couple camps on it's necessity. Some will say keep it for the obvious reasons and others will say toss it as it or the connectors can be acting as a resistor limiting your power output or it's simply not needed. Last edited by coach; June 28th, 2011 at 20:01.. |

I had to replace the fuse in my umarex hk416. The model is GGM25. 25A/250V. They are hard to find at places like radioshack and futureshop and whatnot... but, go to an electrical supply store, and a pack of five will set you back 89cents. I bought like 5 packs lols.
And keep the fuse, youre better off burning one that is worth less than 20 cents than burning your motor and trigger assembly, and you know how much they go for a piece. Last edited by EscapisT; June 30th, 2011 at 19:23.. |

not hard to find. goto canadian tire and look at the plethora of glass tube fuses on the wall in the automotive section to choose from. all you really need is a 25 amp fuse that is approximately the same length. worst case scenario, convert it to a mini blade.
