JG M4 electrical problem (Wrong Forum, please move)
Damn, wrong forum, sorry about that. Please move to Doctor's Corner.
Hello Airsoft Canada, My problem today has to do with some wiring on a JG M4. First, lemme give you a little background on the gun. It had broken the red wire at the pivot point of the receivers, which I had soldered, and it worked. After awhile when I went to test it outside, it just died when I hooked the battery up. I traced the problem to a blown fuse, which I pulled out and popped a fuse from an Aftermath Broxa to test to see if that was the problem. So, that worked but I didn't want to use that fuse since I needed it. A friend of mine gave me his from an Aftermath Kraken, which promptly died when I used it. I figured that all the fuses would be the same since they are all for 8.4v batteries. My question is, would the soldering joint affect the fuse at all, meaning would it cause it to blow? And the other thing is, where the heck do I find some of these fuses? After taking a quick look online at airsoft stores, I can't find them. Any help on these two questions would be great. ~Nicholas

A blown fuse usually means some kind of electrical short. If your solder is exposed it could be shorting on anything.

Okay, I can make sure I insulate it well. Now, would anyone know where to get fuses?
