Fitting a RS Elcan C79 cover on Huang's Replica......The Chad way!
As most know, RS Elcan covers don't fit on all replicas. I have one of them
IMG_1372.JPG So....I start off with the replica...... Remove the scope from the mount and get yourself something sharp and somewhere safe to start taking down the replica rubber cover. You will want to take down the front flush with the scope face and the back flush with the ridge like in the picture below. IMG_1376.JPG Then, you need to cut the channel at least one 1/2" so that the RS cover does not bulk near the bottom. It should look like this. IMG_1374.JPG Then, place the cover in the cover and line everything up as even as possible. Cut more if need be. Yours should look better than this. IMG_1373.JPG Then you can place the scope in the covers.....double bagged covers. Then...Tadaaaaaa!!! IMG_1380.JPG PM if you have any questions. Hope this helps someone.
