Sekito 0.20g BB's?
Hey, AirsoftCanada community
I'm a newbie in Airsoft, I just started airsoft very recently. I've been having a LOT of trouble in decing what brand BB's to buy, so I come to you guys for some advice. After hours and hours of surfing through retailers, the only BB's I found affordable was these http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=280628643001 They are a brand named " SEKITO ". I couldn't find any reviews of their BB's. Does anyone have any experience with those BB's? And also, do you suggest .20g's for an 325 FPS Stinger? |

BB Bastards Are the best by far i have never even heard of the brand you mentioned. Not to mention they are sold by a canadian based company and a very nice guy named Scarecrow.

If a tenth of a penny breaks the bank for you I'm sorry to say but airsoft might not be the right hobby for you.
Personally I run AirsoftElite/Metal Tech, BBBastard, and Madbulls. Also, if playing indoor go with .20 but if you're playing outdoor go with .25, but that said it will lower your FPS by a significant amount. You'll be sitting at a little over 290 FPS using .25's but that's not really a problem. However I'd be worried about running .28's or higher in that gun. Note that in Japan they have "1 Joule laws" so they're playing at ~328 with .20's at most (so if switching it up to .25 they're shooting 295 or less) it's not a big deal for them but I'd be wary of running .30's in a gun that shoots under 1 Joule.

I suggest you to buy BBBastard, Madbulls, Exel, or KSC BBs.
And the Stinger is a cheap spring gun that is sold at Canadian Tire.. So do not waste your money by buying those clear crap, ask to be Age Verified and buy something better in the classified if you find that airsoft is too expensive .. then, don't play. |

sigh... noob tank
sekito's aren't bad. not great, but not bad either. however your stinger will shoot better (farther) with heavier weight bb's. .25 or .28. you can find madbull's locally for cheap, or bb bastards which are more expensive. bastards are top quality, but if you're shooting shooting clearsoft crap i would think it's okay to cheap out on bb's. if you decide to stick with the sport and buy some real guns you'll want to use bastards. but be warned, like many things in life, airsoft isn't cheap. be safe, use eye protection, don't brandish/shoot in public areas, yada yada...

I think the top ones are Airsoft GI (made by madbull ) 5000 for $20 they usually go for i have a box of them, Guarder BB's, Tokyo Marui's, Excel, toyjet
I don't use anything else. Sekito is not a bad brand of BB's, Not something i would personally buy. But a friend of mine uses them all the time and never had any problems with them, so you should be good to go.

as we are talking about BB's, I also have a question.
I sometime see reviews that says(exemple) :"For that gun from X brand, dont use anything else than X's BB's or it'll jam." is this typical fanboy comment or some ASG really are that picky about what you put in them? (giggity?) |

that's a fanboy comment. Most of us tend to stick to the brand we like, just because we like them and think they are good.
But, the cheap ones do tend to hurt your AEG, shatter when you shoot, jam etc etc.

This should clear up all you're questions. low end ammunition (cheap), achieves low end results, period. Sometimes a poor performing gun can be traced to low end ammunition. I'm not going to go into great detail about the Magnus effect- (what you're hop up does to the BB) that is applied to the BB every time it leaves a barrel, but an unbalanced BB (inconsistent air bubble dispersion throughout the BB) has no predictable flight path, especially when the Magnus effect is applied to it. Want to improve you're groupings kiddies?..stop buying in bulk at Walmart.

I bought a couple bags of .25 Sekito's last yeat. I ran them in my Cyma Thompson at FR numerous times during the summer and also in my VFC BAR at Udora during the fall.
No complaints about Sekito's performance here. I should have used .30's all day at Udora though. Edit: Haven't the foggiest idea how Sekito's run in a GBBR. Also, in 2009 I bought what must have been a dud bag of Madbull .28's. Those suckers jammed in 80% of my AEGs and all of my pistols.

Go with BBbastard and you will never have problems. Madbull/KSC/excel/metaltech are good too. But from my experience, I achieve a tighter grouping with BBbastard.

I highly recommend BB Bastards. I've shot nearly 10k rounds through my gun without one issue. I've cleaned my barrel once....i know bad me, but there's was almost nothing to clean. The silicone dampened piece of paper towel i used came back maybe one shade darker, lol. Could hardly tell it was dirty.
During some indoor games, you can pick up a handful of BBs and quite easily point out the Bastards. They are very shiny compared to most brands. Hmm, speaking of which i'm on my last bag, time to put in an order! |

Do none of you guys out east use Green Devils? Hands down the best BBs I've ever used.
