Exclamation P226 slide problem ! HELP !

Hi all !

I have some problems with my KJW P226.

Basically, most of the time I shoot it, the slide locks back, it locks further than the slide release, it gets stuck behind the slide lock/release.

I have to manually press on the hammer to release the slide, but after I've done that, the decocker doesn't work, I have to press on the hammer again !

And I made two vids of me showing the problem and shooting it !

Here :

YouTube - P226 detailed.MOV

Test shooting :

YouTube - P226 test fire.MOV

Thanks for looking

What brand is it?
Did you screw with it in any way or take the slide off?

Is it a metal slide or plastic slide?

I only ask cause I'm on my Blackberry right now and can't watch the vid.

KJW P226, metal slide
Didn't screw with it, just used it for target shooting sometimes, I got it in a trade, worked well, but after a few weeks, this problem appeared.
I took the slide off AFTER the problems appeared, to oil it more than without the slide off.

Cheers, Padkiller

Couple quick things to check.

1) Valve return spring, if its mangle or bent at all can jam and cause this issue.

2) small particles of dirt in the frame rail, which if you over oil become gummy and stick. You only want to lightly oil the frame rail and slide, I've actually found the AI low viscosity oil for the Mags works nicely.

3) If the above are good, I'd try a new recoil spring. Depending on how many rounds you've put through, I found stock ones do not last super long with metal slides. I've got the nine ball one in mine now.

No problems, there only about 4 parts of my 226 that are still original/stock lol.

And I've gone through just about every issue with it you can think of getting it to where she is now. Now if I can stop her form eating valve return springs every 20 mags or so, then again to do that I've have to drop her FPS again........

I have this same problem now too. It seems as though my hammer is getting caught on a part of the slide underneath just as your's is in your video. The only way for the slide to go back is push the hammer down towards the beaver tail, just as you do in your video. I tried filing down the part of the hammer that is getting stuck, but the problem persists, and it is actually deforming part of the metal on a part on the inside of my slide making it flat and making it less likely for the slide to return home and stay out of battery. Any more help in this would be much more appreciated.
